Fun and Games: Hoopfest Kicks off Midway Basketball Season – Panther Nation News

In a night full of friendly competition, athletes showcasing their skills, and enthusiastic support from Panther Nation, Midway High School kicked off the 2022-2023 basketball season with their first Hoopfest celebration.

Thanksgiving at Park Hill Elementary School had a special significance this year as students, families, and staff gathered to celebrate a holiday all about community.

Like other elementary schools in Midway ISD, Park Hill joined in the tradition of inviting families to attend a Thanksgiving-themed lunch with their students featuring traditional holiday dishes prepared by cafeteria staff.

MHS Tennis Brings Home 21st Straight District Title – Panther Nation News

Head Coach Troy Simonek and the Midway High School Tennis team won their 21st consecutive District Championship this fall. In addition to their district title, Midway placed second in the regional finals.

“This year started with almost 225 teams in 6A Team Tennis,” Coach Simonek said. “These Panthers fought all the way to the Elite Eight and left it all out on the court.”

This fall, Midway and River Valley Middle School choir and theatre students showcased their passion for performing in their first-ever combined musical production, Matilda the Musical Jr.
